A volunteer firefighter who happened to be driving by jumped into a creek near Port Alberni on Monday after a vehicle went over an embankment and landed in waist-deep water when the driver had a medical incident.
Police said three youths who were passengers in the vehicle managed to get out before it reached the creek.
