For the second consecutive month, Visayan Electric has reduced electricity rates for its residential consumers. The January-February cycle saw a decrease of P0.25 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), bringing the total rate to P11.26/kWh. This follows a P0.68/kWh decrease in the previous billing cycle. These reductions are attributed to lower generation charges in the wholesale electricity spot market and translate to significant savings for households. Visayan Electric encourages consumers to remain mindful of their energy consumption, especially during the upcoming Sinulog Festival.
