Vikes kick off U Sports season tonight at home to Thompson Rivers University WolfPack
A solid returning core and several talented newcomers has the University of Victoria Vikes men’s soccer team eager to re-join the elite of the Canada West conference.
“The goal this year is to continue building on last season, making small improvements and refining our adaptability and flexibility,” Vikes head coach Stefanek said in statement. The Vikes’ captain’s six goals last season ranked third in Canada West. Sagaste will be aided up front by the return of conference all-rookie team member Matthew Pearse.
UVic’s back line includes key returnee Aiden Grew, an all-rookie team member out of Lambrick Park Secondary last season.
