“He ran away when he saw us without taking into account his safety, and other road users’ while crossing the road,”“They are aware of this and should feel guilty because we have given them several chances. The act of selling fruits on the street is clearly against the law.” In the same post, they also shared another similar incident that took place just outside Angsana Mall in JB. The post in turn was met with mixed remarks from netizens.
Some agreed with what the police asserted about the situation. They also called for the authorities to continue monitoring the situation, apart from taking stern action against those who go against the law. On the other hand, there were also some who argued that the police should give these sellers some leniency because they are simply trying to earn themselves some money without hurting others.
