Juliette Lamour, an Algoma University student and lifelong Sault resident, is $48M richer after purchasing her first-ever Lotto 6/49 ticket

First time was a charm for Sault Ste. Marie's Juliette Lamour, who won a $48-million Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot on the first ticket she ever purchased.

At just 18 years of age, Lamour claimed her giant prize at a press conference Friday morning at the OLG Headquarters on Foster Drive. A crowd of OLG employees — as well dignitaries such as local MPP Ross Romano and Mayor Matthew Shoemaker — were on hand for the cheque presentation.
