It's a common sight to see tourists out and about in Kuala Lumpur or any popular hotspots in Malaysia. One might say that locals enjoy watching foreigners
Slavic content creator Elvira Demcha posted a video on her TikTok channel of her day out in Bukit Bintang, KL. However, the video showed mostly foreign tourists roaming around the city compared to locals, much to the TikToker’s surprise.The influencer also added in the post’s caption that she hasn’t seen this many tourists over the past 6 years she’s been living in the country. The video then became her most-viewed video this year with over 1.
Many replied to her post as well as to a reposted video on Instagram yesterday to share their opinions on the influx of tourists in the country. Those on TikTok agree that they see mainly tourists around the main cities or popular areas in Malaysia compared to locals while those on Instagram argued that they are still many places in the country where one would see mostly locals than foreigners.
