Vice Ganda then addressed Ruiz and asked him to explain why he added such a statement when it was not part of what they rehearsed beforehand. “I’m sorry po, dinagdag ko lang . I’m really sorry po, I didn’t mean it,” Ruiz explained. “Gusto ko lang pong magbigay ng kasiyahan but hindi ko po sinasadya ‘yon . I’m really sorry for that.”
Vice Ganda also pointed out why Ruiz’s joke is unacceptable, with his fellow hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario adding that sensitivity should always be observed, and that contestants must follow what the management only allowed them to say on air. “May mga salita na hindi na angkop at katanggap-tanggap ngayon—’yung mga sinasabing hindi politically correct ‘yung terms—at may mga bagay na hindi pwedeng sabihin sa telebisyon,” Vice Ganda stated.
