The NLL club is going with 24-year-old Ethan Woods and 21-year-old Aden Walsh in goal as it looks to rebound from an 0-3 start to this year.

The team, which is in its fourth season under Vancouver Canucks ownership, didn’t re-sign coach Chris Gill after last year and brought in Troy Cordingley, who had won NLL titles with the Toronto Rock and Calgary Roughnecks, as bench boss. General manager Dan Richardson rejigged the roster in the off-season as well. Six of the 21 players on Vancouver’s active roster last week weren’t with the team last season.

They’re both Ontario products and that undoubtedly shows the influence of Cordingley, another easterner. Fryer, 32, had a 13.62 goals against average and a .760 save percentage in those games, playing 132 minutes of 180 minutes. There were undoubtedly shots he’d like another crack at, but Vancouver has struggled in all facets so far this season.
