The victim, 34\u002Dyear\u002Dold Jeff Jeanty, was discovered badly burned shortly after midnight on Jan 3 near Powell Street and Raymur Avenue.

Visintin said homicide investigators took over the case and have spent more than a month collecting evidence, identifying suspects, and analyzing DNA to identify the victim. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect captured on camera in the Downtown Eastside around the time of the murder.The whereabouts of the suspect, a woman in her 20s with a fair complexion, is unknown, said Visintin.
The suspect is described by police as about 5’8” tall, between 120 and 140 pounds, with long dark hair, which was in a ponytail at the time of the homicide. Visintin said she was wearing black ball cap with a white logo on the front, a black jacket over a dark shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes with white soles.Share this article in your social network
