The following day, CBSA investigators executed a search warrant at a Chilliwack home, where more prohibited weapons were allegedly seized.Article contentThis included 260 stun guns, 422 prohibited knives, 171 stun batons, seven spring-loaded batons, 390 pairs of brass knuckles and 13 Tasers.John Linde, director of the CBSA’s Intelligence and Enforcement Operations Division, said agents are always on the look out for suspicious packages coming across the border, as well as international mail.

“We do a risk analysis and look for indicators to see what packages we should examine more closely.” Linde said. “Our officers are always using their training and judgment with a view to keep dangerous goods out of Canada.” Because the investigation is still underway, Linde could not say what number of weapons were seized at the border, compared to during the arrest or at the suspect’s home.Article content“We can’t speculate as the investigation is continuing,” Linde said.
