Kings Mutual Valley Wildcats captain Jesse Sinclair had two goals and an assist in two weekend games in the Nova Scotia Under-15 Major Hockey League.BERWICK, N.S. — The Kings Mutual Valley Wildcats salvaged a point from a pair ofThey lost 4-3 to the Truro Bearcats in a shootout on Jan. 7 and 7-3 to the New Scotland Storm Jan. 8 in Cole Harbour.Elliott Mullen scored twice for Truro in regulation while Ethan Wolfe had the other. Mullen had the lone goal of the shootout.
Nate Betts, Presten Phillips and captain Jesse Sinclair replied for Valley with Caleb Rutt and Luke Forse each chipping in an assist.Truro, which led 2-1 after the first period but trailed 3-2 heading to the third, improved to 15-9-0-0.Captain Aiden O’Donnell had three goals and an assist in the Storm’s win while Owen O’Donnell had four helpers. Riley Creelman scored a goal and helped set up three more while Justin Cluett, Mack Clements and Cole MacLeod rounded out the scoring.
Sinclair had a goal and an assist for Valley while Nolan Fletcher and Drake Ledson also scored. Erik Popma had two assists while Forse chipped in one.The Storm, which held 2-0 and 4-2 period leads, improved to 18-4-1-1 while the Wildcats dropped to 6-12-2-4. Valley is 1-4 in shootouts this season.They play The Gulls Jan. 11, the Eastern Thunder from Newfoundland Jan. 12 and the Fredericton Blues from New Brunswick Jan. 13. All three games are at the 4-Pad in Halifax.
