146 teams from 36 countries made it to the global final Event attracted 120k students from 2k colleges and universities across 74 countries The Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) team secured third place in the Practice Competition – Cloud Track category of the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Global Final, which took place from 23 to 27 May 2023 in Shenzhen, China. The team, composed of Tay Bee Sim, Ho Wei Liang, and Yong Hong Long, had previously emerged as champions in the Cloud Track category at the Malaysia Final.

Event attracted 120k students from 2k colleges and universities across 74 countries

The team, composed of Tay Bee Sim, Ho Wei Liang, and Yong Hong Long, had previously emerged as champions in the Cloud Track category at the Malaysia Final. Additionally, Tay was honoured with the Women in Tech award in the Cloud Track category at the Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2022-2023 Regional Final. Tham Mau Luen, a lecturer at UTAR, led the team.
