A 19-year-old man has died on the Gold Coast and two others have been taken to hospital after taking an unknown substance over the weekend.

Police are warning against the use of unregulated drugs following a group overdose incident over the weekend that has led to the death of a Gold Coast man.

Police are waiting for toxicology reports to determine the cause of the group overdose incidentJeremiah Lolohea, 19, died at the Gold Coast University Hospital on Sunday after he was found unconscious at an Arundel address in the early hours of the morning.Another was found unconscious and taken to hospital in a critical condition from a Gaven address.Superintendent Rhys Wildman says police are waiting for toxicology reports to determine the substance involved.
