CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the US markets are showing “no signs of anxiety” ahead of the CPI figures to be released later.
“We’ve seen long-term interest rates just nudge a little bit lower, where two and ten-year government bonds are concerned,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve seen the Dow improve by about a half of one per cent, the S&P 500 up 0.8 of a per cent, the Nasdaq is up by 1.2 per cent.”

ASX to kick off with a ‘loss’ following ‘disappointing session’ on Wall StreetCommSec's Tom Piotrowski says the market will kick off with a loss this morning, which reflects a 'disappointing session' on Wall Street. 'We've seen a bit of a downtrend for underlying inflation in recent times, if that continues, then the markets really should take some stock from that.' Presented by CommSec.
