The draw for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will be held on Saturday night, with the Matildas guaranteed a tough test in their group.
USWNT legend Carli Lloyd knows a thing or two about performing at the World Cup.abc.net.au/news/matildas-to-discover-fifa-womens-world-cup-opponents-draw/101562222As the Matildas prepare to learn their opponents in next year's World Cup, two-time winner and USWNT legend Carli Lloyd says Australia faces an uphill battle to contend for the tournament on home soil.
As hosts for the 2023 tournament, Australia and New Zealand enjoy the benefit of top seeding, meaning they will avoid the world's top six sides until the knockout phase. Lloyd is in Auckland as one of the draw conductors, along with former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright —
