Sky News host James Macpherson says America held a nationwide Emergency Alert System test on Wednesday, which caused chaos at the White House briefing.\n\n“America held a nationwide emergency alert drill yesterday, every phone, television and radio sounding a one-minute long alarm,” Mr Macpherson said.\n\n“It affected everybody even those in the White House.\n\n“The noise was accompanied by a message saying ‘THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.”\n\nMr Macpherson said it was reported Russia held an emergency alert drill on the same day and at the same time as the US Emergency Alert System test.
