A goal by Chloe Richardson at 81:35 lifted the visiting Dalhousie Tigers into a 1-1 draw in the regular-season finale.The UPEI Panthers’ Mickayla Vos, 18, carries the ball up the field during an Atlantic University Sport Women’s Soccer Conference game against the Dalhousie Tigers in Charlottetown on Oct. 21. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
A Panthers’ win would have secured a playoff berth as UPEI went into the final day of regular-season play one point ahead of the Saint Mary’s Huskies. However, the UPEI draw, combined with Saint Mary’s 4-2 win over the Mount Allison Tigers on Oct. 21, bumped the Panthers to the sidelines for this week’s conference playoffs.
The Huskies, who were 4-7-1 , earned the sixth and final playoff spot with 13 points. UPEI completed the regular season with 13 points.
