ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — UPEI's Health and Wellness Centre is becoming the first university health centre in Canada to earn a Primer Award from Accreditation Canada.
Previously, the UPEI Health and Wellness Centre had not undergone an external review of its services. Accreditation Canada allowed the centre to be evaluated against national standards and receive feedback from peers. “Throughout the review, the surveyor was able to see the Health and Wellness Centre living their values and ensuring that important foundational protocols had been developed and are being followed,” said Barrett.
