MANILA - A fraternity based in the University of the Philippines-Visayas is in hot water after supposed private conversations among some of its members were leaked online.

Screenshots of conversations attributed to members of the Scintilla Jvris Fraternity have gone viral for lewd and homophobic content.

Others also pointed out how the members used to support women’s rights and gender equality while in the university, but would resort to “disgusting and slut-shaming remarks” in their private group chat. “The account [@MANYAKSOFUPV] gained traction for releasing conversation threads that contained messages on sexual harassment, objectification and homophobia,” SAMASA said in a statement.
