How to get one-off payment worth £812 to help pay bills
HARD-UP Brits on Universal Credit could be entitled to a one-off payment of up to £812 to help with emergency costs and bills.
The money can be used to pay for any unexpected bills or unscheduled payment hikes, or even to replace whitegoods such as a fridge if yours breaks. If you've lost your job, Citizens Advice recommends that you don't apply until you've received your final wages or any final holiday pay. You must have earned less than £2,600 in the last six months, or less than £3,600 between you if you're in a couple.
