KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants the unity government to practise the balance emphasised in the Quran when making policies.
The Prime Minister said this is to ensure the comprehensive implementation of each policy at every level of society.
"When a person is appointed as a minister, he represents all the people, which means the people's concerns must be heard and the government's policies must take into account the balance mentioned in the Quran," he said in his speech at the Nur Ramadan programme here Saturday .Anwar also said that Malay and Muslim leaders must set a good example for the community.
In conjunction with Nuzul Quran, which is observed on Saturday, Anwar called on Muslims to take advantage of it to read, digest and understand the holy verses of the Quran.
