Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh said removing liquid and gel nicotine from the poisons list would allow open sales to the public, including minors.

He said delisting them as controlled substances under the Poisons Act would allow them to be marketed and sold openly to the public, including minors. He said a law providing for a Generational End Game should be implemented before the exemption is granted so that higher taxes may be imposed on users who are not part of the “end game generation” to reduce the use of vape devices.
