UK to bask in sunshine with highs of 19C today

Tomorrow should be an ideal day for drinks in a beer garden, with plenty of warm and sunny weather expected across most of the country.Temperatures are expected to hit up to 19C in the south with clear skies and hardly any rain.

Met Office meteorologist Helen Roberts said: ‘It’s a chilly old start to Sunday morning but a bright one. Lots of sunshine through the day and showers much further and fewer between than they will have been this afternoon.’She said north sea coasts will feel a bit cooler with temperatures of 15C predicted for much of the east coast as well as in Northern Ireland. It’ll be a bit more disappointing in the very north of Scotland which can expect much more cloud and 11C weather.

It looks like we’re in for a good spell next week too with temperatures expected to keep on scaling into the low 20s. ‘The emphasis as we head into the working week is lots of sunshine and temperatures continuing to climb, especially so in the north,’ Ms Robert added.Got a story for Metro.co.uk?
