An Uber driver was viciously attacked and had his car stolen by two men he picked up in Sydney’s northwest, with a major manhunt underway for the offenders. Police say the 49-year-old man accepted a booking from two men at an address in Box Hill about 12.35am on Monday, who instructed the rideshare driver to stop at various locations.
Western Sydney Uber attack One of these included a patrol station on Penure St, Rouse Hill, which the group visited at 1.05am. The two men purchased several food items before returning to the rideshare vehicle, where they continued to ask the driver to stop at further addresses. About half an hour later at the intersection of Kindelan Rd and Gibbon Rd, Winston Hills, the two men allegedly assaulted the Uber driver.
