MARAWI CITY -- United Arab Emirates Ambassador Hamad Saeed Al-Zaabi visited Lanao del Sur for the first time during the celebration of Eid’l Adha on Sunday.
Nineteen cows were slaughtered and at least a kilo of meat was distributed to each family living in Sagonsongan.
Al-Zaabi said the UAE embassy will launch projects in Marawi including school rehabilitation, construction of a child and youth center, and a home for the orphans. He also visited mosques inside the main affected area, including the Grand Mosque and Bato Mosque, and was also the guest at the Eid celebration in the nearby town of Tamparan.
