The United States Embassy in Manila on Wednesday (May 20) announced the temporary suspension of all its routine consular services during the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) period.

Included in the suspension are services for U.S. citizens including passporting, citizenship, notary, and legal capacity to marry services.

For visa operations, the embassy canceled all routine immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments as of March 20, 2020, but will continue to provide emergency, mission-critical visa services as resources and local conditions allow. In an advisory, the Embassy said it will resume all routine visa services “as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.”
