The group Tyre Extinguishers has expanded its activities to another city in Australia, deflating tyres on SUVs as a form of protest against the ownership of large polluting vehicles.

The group, which now has affiliates in more than 20 countries, launched its first attack in Australia on August 31, deflating tyres on up to 20 SUVs in the well-heeled Melbourne suburb of Toorak.
