Police are chasing two teenagers after they fled the scene of a high-speed car crash which has hospitalised three other people in Melbourne’s north on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Civic Drive and McDonalds Road about 2:25am in Epping where they encountered the wreckage of a two-vehicle collision.

Two teenagers – a 16-year-old-female and 13-year-old male – were taken to hospital where they remain under police guard following the collision which involved a stolen white MG hatchback. Officers have been told the teens’ car was witnessed driving at high speeds before running a red light and crashing into another vehicle.

Picture: Nine NewsIt is believed two people from the stolen MG have fled the scene on foot with the Dog Squad called in to search for the pair.Officers are appealing for anybody who witnessed the collision or with dashcam footage or information to urgently contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
