Police have charged a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old after a boy, 17, was taken to hospital with life-threatening wounds.

Police have charged two teenagers after the stabbing of a boy on a bus in Murray Road, Preston, on Friday.

A 17-year-old boy from Reservoir was taken to hospital with life-threatening stab wounds to his upper body following the altercation but is now in a stable condition. A 14-year-old boy from Heidelberg West has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, affray and commiting an indictable offence while on bail.A 16-year-old boy from Albert Park has been charged with possessing a prohibited weapon without exemption and has been bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

The two teens were arrested and charged by transit crime investigation unit detectives on Saturday night.
