NStnation: Kelantan recorded unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings today.

State Department Of Environment director Hamzah Mohamad said the readings at the two stations had increased today compared to yesterday.

"Yesterday, the two stations recorded an average of 80 but this morning it reached the unhealthy mark . "However, we expect the situation to return to normal tomorrow as the monsoon transition begins," he said today. Hamzah said the department would continue to monitor the haze situation in the state from time to time.

The Meteorological Department's website stated that the monsoon transition phase is expected to begin on Tuesday and will last until early November.
