A serious incident involving police near Barrie on Tuesday night has led to the province\u0027s Special Investigations Unit being called in.

“The wounded officers were rushed to a local hospital by emergency run where one of them died. The second officer was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in critical condition,” SSPS said early Wednesday in a press release before announcing the second officer had also died.Article content
