New South Wales Police confirmed the officers suffered injuries in the altercation and both had been taken to hospital for treatment. "One officer was treated by paramedics for a shoulder injury while the second suffered facial injuries," NSW police said.The officers were speaking to a female passenger"in relation to an unrelated matter" when they were approached by a man who attempted to interfere, NSW police said. One shocked commuter shared a photo of the scene on Twitter, which showed a section of the station had been cordoned off with several police in attendance.
