Two police officers have been charged with assault after a man was injured during an arrest in Melbourne’s south-east last February.

A 35-year-old male senior constable and a 45-year-old male senior constable from the Transit and Public Safety Command were charged with unlawful assault and unlawful assault with a weapon and will appear in court at a later date.
