American private equity giant Blackstone has promoted two from its Australian team to the coveted managing director title after a busy year of dealmaking.
Daniel Kearns traded up to MD from principal after being involved in Blackstone’s exits from non-bank lender La Trobe Financial and Kiwi insurer Partners life among other deals.La Trobe to Canadian investment giant Brookfield
Kearns is moving to MD within Blackstone’s tactical opportunities group after just a little over three years with the firm. He was previously a vice president at TPG.
