Burin Peninsula RCMP has arrested two people in connection with a recent break, enter and theft that occurred at a home in Fortune. - FileMARYSTOWN, N.L. — Police on the Burin Peninsula have arrested two people following a break-in and theft at a home in Fortune.

RCMP recieved the report of the break-in on Nov. 3. Officers learned that the thieves broke in while the homeowner was away and stole several tools and other household items. Following an investigation, Aaron Rose, 46, and Bradley Thorne, 31, were both arrested. During the arrests, police said officers recovered some of the stolen property.Both men are charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. They made a court appearance via teleconference on Nov. 5 and were released from custody.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
