The motor vehicle collision took place during the early morning hours of Sunday

A vehicle collided with a train during the early morning hours of Sunday, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to both of its occupants.

A “complex extrication process” was required, which resulted in both occupants being removed from the crumpled vehicle. They were both taken to hospital by paramedics, but were considered stable with non-life-threatening injuries.“We'd like to remind everyone to be aware and to pay attention when moving through or around train tracks whether on foot or in a vehicle,” Sudbury Professional Fire Fighters wrote on their Facebook page on Wednesday.
