Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEA) 7 and Central Visayas police forces conducted two successful raids on drug dens, resulting in the apprehension of six individuals and the seizure of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
On Friday, February 7, 2025, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit ( PDEA ) 7 and the police forces of Central Visayas conducted a series of raids that resulted in the dismantling of two drug den s in Cebu City and Calape, Bohol . Six individuals were arrested during these operations. At 7:50 PM, a joint team from the PDEA Cebu Provincial Office and the Mabolo police station of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) carried out a buy-bust operation in Sitio Lubi, Barangay Luz, Cebu City.
This operation led to the bust of a drug den and the apprehension of three individuals. The suspects were identified as Raul, 63, a cook and the alleged drug den maintainer; Anecita, 42, his live-in partner and an alleged accomplice; and Arnulfo, 66, a blacksmith and alleged shabu user. Authorities seized six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11.65 grams with an estimated market value of P79,229, as well as drug paraphernalia. In another successful operation, a combined team of PDEA Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) personnel, Calape Municipal Police Station, PNP Bohol Maritime Police, and PNP Drug Enforcement Group raided a drug den in Sitio Lumbang, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Calape at 7:04 PM. Three individuals were apprehended during this raid. The suspects were identified as Noel, 56, the alleged target and drug den maintainer; Irvin, 26, a security guard from Barangay Cabayugan, Calape; and another Noel, 26, from Loon town, Bohol. PDEA agents recovered nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams with a total estimated value of P74,800, along with various drug paraphernalia. Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, stated that the operation was the culmination of a week-long case buildup following the receipt of intelligence information. It is alleged that the suspects were selling 10 to 15 grams of suspected shabu to their customers. The seized evidence was brought to the PDEA 7 Regional Office Laboratory for examination, while the evidence from Calape was taken to the Bohol PNP Forensic Unit for chemical analysis. Charges under Sections 5, 6, 7, Section 13, and 14, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the six arrested individuals
