"It is still not safe to return. I need to make that 100 per cent clear … it is still a very dangerous fire, unpredictable and not under control at this stage," Mr Buckley said. He said the aged care facility and hospital in Tara were evacuated to mitigate the risk of smoke inhalation.Conditions are expected to remain hot, dry, and windy today, and an extreme fire danger is forecast across inland areas.About 150 people who had been evacuated were issued Return With Caution notices last night, notifying them they could return to their properties to assess the damage.These Tiwi elders believe burial grounds are under threat from a gas pipeline.
