Firefighters found flames coming from the home and multiple vehicles were on fire in the garage, the fire department said in a media release. Crews got out of the house as a small part of the structure began to partially collapse and continued to fight the fire from outside. A neighbouring home was also evacuated as a precaution.An fire investigator was on the scene to determine the cause.
The Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation Army will both be helping the residents, the fire department said. “When the smoke alarm sounds, get out fast,” the fire department warned. “You may only have seconds to escape safely.”Article content
