Thousands of Twitter users have reported difficulties with the social media site since 6am this morning. Yet new owner Elon Musk says he is 'very optimistic' about the company's future.
Downdetector showing thousands of reported problemsProblems are affecting both Twitter's website and mobile phone app, with reports to Downdetector split evenly between the two.
Twitter users began experiencing problems at 6am AEDT this morning, according to outage tracking website Downdetector “Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore,” Musk wrote in an email to staff in November.
