Five-minute video features some familiar faces from Sudbury’s arts and culture scene
The main street of any town, city or village has long been the heart of the community. And with the third season of the TVO series Main Street Ontario, Sudburians will get to see their own city reflected back to them, as quirky and fun as Sudbury has always been, and share that with the rest of the province.
Featuring appearances from playwright Mathew Heiti, former Townehouse Tavern manager Paul Loewenburg, Ward 9 Coun. Deb McIntosh and Up Here co-founders Christian Pelletier and Jennifer McKerral, the short lets the people of Sudbury tell the story of Main Street, now and then. The videos have a light, almost cartoonish tone, with each speaker styled like bobble heads. Sudbury.com reached out to some of the people featured and they were somewhat confused by the video because they couldn’t recall be interviewed recently. Turns out, the interviews used aren’t new and at least some of them seem to have come from The Tale of The Town interviews that were done several years ago as part of another project on downtowns.
