What was his reaction?

In an interview with Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily News, Mat said that he has been subject to online attacks but he doesn't think much about them."I laughed it off,” he said. “Of course, some people came forward to tell me they support me. There are good and bad comments online, you have to remember the good ones.”Mat said the first two days in prison were the toughest.

“I told myself what's done is done, this is your punishment. Don’t waste time mulling over things that you cannot fix, face it positively. The most difficult time is over, move forward positively in the days to come,” he shared.
