Support for the Liberal-National Coalition in Queensland has surpassed Labor, with a new poll revealing voters now have a higher preference for an alternative to premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
According to the Resolve Strategic Poll conducted exclusively for Brisbane Times, Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has garnered more positive voter sentiment than Ms Palaszczuk across a three-month period spanning May to August.
Personal support for the incumbent Queensland Premier also slumped, with Ms Palaszczuk clocking 43 per cent negative votes from a respondent pool of 947 people. For the first time in a Resolve poll, Mr Crisafulli was the favourite choice for premier, with support for him sitting at 37 per cent – just slightly nipping the edge from Ms Palaszczuk’s 36 per cent approval.
