TV personality Erwin Tulfo , who was once part of the Marcos Cabinet, led a mid-December 2024 preference survey ahead of the 2025 mid-term elections. The partylist group that he currently represents in the 19th Congress, ACT-CIS , ranked second in the same preference survey undertaken by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) commissioned by thinktank Stratbase group.Trailing Tulfo , who registered a 45% preference among those surveyed, was Senate re-electionist Senator Bong Revilla Jr.

Both are candidates of Lakas. The rest of the top candidates are made up of familiar names — re-electionist candidates or those who come from political dynasties. The only outliers are Tulfo’s brother, broadcaster and columnist Ben Tulfo, and TV host Willie Revillame. Re-election aspirants former police chief Dela Rosa and the President’s eldest sister Imee Marcos, as well as House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar, held the 12-14 rank in the survey — meaning it would be a close fight among the three candidates for the last seat. Candidates who ranked 15th and beyond in the survey include former senator Kiko Pangilinan, former interior chief Benhur Abalos, and former senator Bam Aquino. The Philippines will be electing 12 senators in the 2025 polls. ACT-CIS, an acronym for Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support, topped the 2022 party-list race, earning it three seats in the 19th Congres
