Australia needs a new T20 captain after Aaron Finch's retirement. Mark Taylor's pick will raise a few eyebrows. 👇 9WWOS cricket
Finch nominated Travis Head and Ashton Turner as two players not currently in the side who could take over as captain.
"Of course they're going to consider Pat Cummins, and it's quite unusual for me to say this because normally I like having just one leader, but it might be an opportunity for Australia to look elsewhere," he told Wide World of Sports."You've got Mitch Marsh, although he's already 31, and I'd also consider Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell as well, although they're older than Marsh.
"Head is certainly another name you could throw in, but the only problem I've got is he's not in the team at the moment," Taylor explained."As you should do in every format, you pick your best team, and then find the captain from among the eleven. If Travis Head is in the team then you'd consider him, but that may not be the case.
