The crash happened near the Quadra Street off-ramp
Traffic was backed up on the Patricia Bay Highway into the mid-afternoon Wednesday after a southbound dump truck lost control and slid onto its side about 11:45 a.m., just before the Quadra Street off-ramp.
By 2:30 p.m., the truck had yet to be towed away. Saanich police Const. Markus Anastasiades said traffic problems could continue for a few more hours.
