‘Troubled’ ex-sportscaster’s quick home sale

The Hunter Valley retreat of former Channel 9 sportscaster Cameron Williams and his estranged wife, Natasha Russo, has quickly gone under offer ahead of its forthcoming auction. The couple’s pavilion-style rural retreat, Wareng, at Howes Valley near Singleton, was only listed two weekends ago with $1.3m expectations.
“We have now received an offer and acceptance on the property,” Cutcliffe Properties’ Nathan Vincin advised prospective buyers.“I am under instructions not to disclose the sale price,” Vincin said.Wareng was offered with several income streams, including a $528-a-night Airbnb offering.The Chambourcin grapes from its irrigated 2.4ha are sought by Hunter Valley vineyards.
The olives are koreiki and leccino, with estimates this year’s crop will yield tonnes from the plantation of 280 trees.It fetched $1.3m. Source: realestate.com.au
