In his effort to improve the church, he roped in the cooperation of our East Malaysian brothers and sisters and locals to make the church what it is today - beautiful and inviting.Much festivities and joy was anticipated prior to the celebration. Those assigned to various duties were very busy for days getting things ready for the big day.

Mass started at 7 pm after the Sacred Heart of Jesus novena, followed by the blessing of fathers and god-fathers. All received special gifts after which was the cake cutting ceremony.
