IPOH: The residents of an Orang Asli village in Kampung Sungai Sinju in Simpang Pulai near here have been ordered to move out to make way for the commercial cultivation of Musang King durian.
"We have been staying in the village for ages and now a developer has encroached into the area, claiming that they have been issued a land grant for five acres and want us to vacate the area for them to carry out the durian planting project," he said. Alang said he only realised the trespass on Sept 26 when heavy machinery was brought in to clear the site.
