“So that’s partly because they can afford to do so, but also partly because the parents see benefits in delaying entry and partly because everyone around them is doing the same thing and has been for a long time.”Australian Catholic University senior lecturer Dr Kate Highfield said there was evidence of slight benefits for children who started school older.Highfield said families should consider the circumstances of each child.
